5 Things That Are Essential For A Summer Rental On Nantucket
Getting excited about your Nantucket summer vacation? Here are a few essentials for your packing list, sure to enhance your time on the Island!
A Good Book
One of my favorite things to do on a nice beach day is read a good book! Leave your worries at home and bring that book that you have been meaning to read. We have a few amazing bookstores in town that you can pick up a great beach read if you do forget yours at home: Bookworks and Mitchell's Book Corner.
We all have that colorful piece of clothing in our closet, that we love, but don't know when to wear. Well, you just found the occasion! Nantucket is always alive with colorful outfits and Lily Pulitzer, so be sure to bring your favorite piece!
Nantucket has some of the best walking trails and a great system of bike paths. Rent bikes downtown and you have a great mode of transportation for your time on the Island! Great for getting to the beach or town and a great way to see the beauty of the island. Stop by Young's Bike Shop when you get off the ferry!
Being 30 miles out to sea is beautiful, but we tend to get cool ocean breezes, especially at night! Nantucket, fondly nicknamed the Grey Lady, can have a change of weather in minutes. Be sure to be prepared for a cooler evening after a hot day at the beach!
Nantucket is home to some of the best dining in Massachusetts! Be sure to bring an appetite and check out all of the local fares. Whether it be the island's best beachside cheeseburger at the Surfside food shack or the lobster roll at Cru, you are in for a great meal!
